PhD Defence - Agnethe Nedergaard Pedersen
Agnethe Nedergaard Pedersen will defend her PhD concerning: "The digital twin of urban drainage systems - dynamic models and measurements for error diagnosis"
Digital twins are virtual representations of a physical entity, synchronized at a specified frequency and fidelity. Digital twins of urban drainage systems consist of many features, including simulation models and an increasing number of in-situ measurements og water levels, and they are expected to support operation and investment decisions in utility companies. The performance of the simulation models however needs to be quantified, which is today very laborious and time-consuming and thus rarely done systematically.
This PhD thesis has developed an overall framework and a sequence of tools to improve the quality of utility companies’ work with establishing and maintaining digital twins as well as obtaining an overview of the current model performance for different sites and different model objectives.
