Publication by DTU Environment researchers on the cover of Environmental Science&Technology

Material recycling is an integral part of the Circular Economy. Recycled products contain chemicals that, unless removed, may end up in newly manufactured products. This reduces quality of recycled materials, may put consumers at unnecessary risks and jeopardizes the general acceptance of products that contain recycled materials.
The importance of this topic is reflected on the latest cover of the international journal Environmental Science & Technology, which illustrates an article by Kostyantyn Pivnenko and Thomas Fruergaard Astrup (DTU Environment) included in the same issue of the journal.
