UrbanWaterTech invites all interested to attend an afternoon seminar, 30 March 2011, 2 pm-4 pm, with interesting presentations and discussion. We are visited by two of the leading scientists within the field of modeling and uncertainty assessment in hydrology and environmental engineering.
Guest teachers:
-
Professor Georgia Destouni, Vice Head of Department, Department of Physical Geography and Quaternary Geology, Stockholm University.
Her research include climate-water interactions, flow and mass transport interactions and uncertainty, risk quantification and handling in environmental management.
-
Distinguished Professor Michael K. Stenstrom, Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, University of California, Los Angeles.
His research is within the environmental engineering area with emphasis on biological treatment methods and applications of computing technologies to environmental engineering research.
Program:
-
Welcome by Associate professor Peter Steen Mikkelsen, DTU Environment
-
Professor Georgia Destouni “Modeling and uncertainty assessment of nutrient runoff from larger catchments”
-
Professor Michael K. Stenström “Monitoring and GIS-based modeling of metal runoff from urban catchments”
-
After the presentations UrbanWaterTech offers a small refreshment
